I would like to introduce you to our very own special elf Crystal.
The girls just adore her and we are having so much fun with her! I can’t believe how perfect the name is too. Our elf has beautiful blue hair and pink crystals on her clothes so it is a great name for her.
I decided to go with a pink dress. I took one that we already had, shown in the previous post HERE, and just shortened it a bit. I then used the excess fabric to make a little hat. I took apart the fur lined items from the My Little Pony and just added a bunch to the dress, the hat, and made little wrist cuffs as well. Then everything is lined with silver ribbon to tie it all in together. There are pink crystals and snowflake embellishments added as well. She turned out to be so pretty and fun. The girls cant get enough of her!
Crystal came to us the night after Thanksgiving because we were traveling and things ended up not going as planned, which is pretty typical for us! We ended up staying in a hotel and then started our camping trip a day late. But Crystal made it and we love our little addition to our family. We just postponed reading the “Elf on the Shelf” book which was our way of letting Santa know that we were ready for our elf to arrive. So no big deal at all! =)
Crystal delivered a letter from Santa to further explain a little but more about her and how the magic works. I used some Santa stationary, which can be found at Design Editor and the envelope is from a Letter From Santa kit by Michelle Coleman at Little Dreamer Designs.
It is such a fun tradition and I am bummed that I didn’t start it years earlier. But better late than never and we are having so much fun! I am hoping it helps get the girls out of bed for school a little easier for Dad too….
Crystal is already getting in to trouble so stay tuned to see what she’s been up to!
